Time-restricted eating as a dietary intervention for dyslipidemia in peri- and postmenopausal women

What we are studying

Cardiovascular disease risk factors, such as high blood lipid levels and body fat gain, increase during the menopause transition. This study is a clinical research trial looking at a dietary intervention called time-restricted eating for the treatment of abnormal lipid levels (‘dyslipidemia’) in recently postmenopausal women.

Why it is important

We hope that this research will contribute to scientific knowledge about how time-restricted eating migh help body weight and metabolic health in peri- and postmenopausal women.

Who can participate

You may be eligible if you:

  • Are aged 40-58 years
  • Are overweight or have obesity
  • Are not using hormone therapy or cholesterol-lowering medication, and
  • Have irregular periods or your last menstrual period more than 1, but less than 5 years ago
